Ingredients:
For the Steak:
– 4 filet mignon steaks
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons butter
For the Creamy Shrimp Sauce:
– 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon lemon juice
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Steaks:
– Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
– Season the filet mignon steaks with salt and pepper.
– In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
– Add butter to the skillet and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for an additional 6-10 minutes, depending on your desired doneness. Remove from the oven and let the steaks rest.
2. Make the Creamy Shrimp Sauce:
– In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
– Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink (about 2-3 minutes). Remove shrimp and set aside.
– Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
– Stir in the heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, and lemon juice. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
– Add the Parmesan cheese and mix until melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the shrimp to the skillet and mix.
3. Serve:
– Place each filet mignon on a plate and top generously with the creamy shrimp sauce.
– Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
