2 cups milk
3 egg yolks

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
Instructions:
Prepare Pie Crust: Bake your pie crust according to package or recipe instructions. Allow it to cool completely.
Cook Chocolate Filling: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine flour, cocoa, and sugar. Gradually whisk in milk, then add egg yolks, vanilla, and butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
Assemble: Pour the chocolate filling into the baked pie crust, smoothing the top.
Make Meringue: In a clean mixing bowl, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Spread the meringue over the chocolate filling, sealing it to the edges of the crust.
