Ingredients
4 cups of frozen corn kernels
1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Directions
1- Prepare Ingredients: Start by cooking the bacon until it’s crispy, then crumble it into small pieces. Shred the cheddar cheese and set it aside.
2- Combine in Slow Cooker: In your slow cooker, add the frozen corn, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, heavy cream, melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix well to ensure that all ingredients are evenly distributed.
3- Season and Stir: Season the mixture with salt and pepper, adjusting to your taste. Stir everything together to incorporate the seasonings thoroughly.
4- Cook: Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 4 hours, or on high for 2 hours. Stir occasionally to prevent the cheese from sticking and to ensure even cooking.
5- Final Touches: Once the cooking time is complete, give the corn mixture one last stir. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. For an optional garnish, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top before serving to add a fresh, vibrant touch.
